What you'll need: A high-walled baking dish and an oven… also:
- 1. Season the brisket with salt and pepper and put it in the baking dish. Arrange all the vegetables and herbs around it.
- 2. Cover everything with equal parts chicken stock and Dr Pepper. Add the wine.
- 3. Braise at 350°F for 3 - 4 hours. Check after an hour and a half. You’re looking for that fork-tender feeling.
- 4. Let the meat sit in the liquid overnight. Next day, remove the meat, strain the sauce, slice, and serve.
